Park Place Assisted Living in Reno held a Grand Opening June 22, for the new Independent Living community.
Tahoe House, is designed to accommodate active seniors with less needs. Park Place Executive Director Benjamin King, cutting the ribbon celebrating the opening of Tahoe House, welcomed the opportunity to offer independent living for seniors wanting to downsize but remain active. Socialization and small group activities are provided to all Park Place residents, with an activity center located on the property.
Opening in 1992 on 2.5 acres in north Reno, Park Place offers five cottages of unfurnished studios. Each cottage is designed to accommodate twelves seniors with a private bathroom and shower, and common areas for dining.
Additionally, Park Place Assisted Living provides residents who need more care with medical personnel and on-call nurses 24/7 in an emergency, offering residents daily assistance, cognitive and dementia care, and end-of-life support.
