Senior Fest 2023 returns to Reno Town Mall on September 5, 9-2 p.m. This years event promises to be just as fun as previous years for Northern Nevada seniors.

Senior Fest has been serving those living in the Truckee Mead- ows 28-years, minus two years of COVID. The event helps connect seniors and families with senior services, age friendly businesses, nonprofit organizations, and people who want to meet and make new friends.

This year, Senior Fest will resume its usual early kickoff of the seasonal flu shot extra dose for people 65 plus, along with COVID shots for those in need of the vaccine, courtesy of Immunize Nevada, and the Washoe County Health Department.

DoughBoys Donuts and My Favorite Muffin will serve morning coffee, and a new sponsor, J Resort and Gold Dust West Casino will help provide a bite to eat.

Erika Paul and the Swingin’ JazzKats will be back with classics from the Great American Song Book and more Jazz favorites. If you are part of a dance club, come strut yourself on our dance floor and have some fun. Wear Hawaiian casual clothing, and bring a hat.

Senior Fest will have 60 vendors this year, displaying new business products, goods and services, health insurance plans, senior living communities/memory care, legal services, home and community-based services, nutrition, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, volunteer opportunities, senior center services, and Better Business Bureau tips on scam prevention.

Senior Fest is free and open to the public. Parking is free at the Reno Town Mall, and the Atlantis Resort, on the corners of S. Virginia Street and Peckham Lane in Reno. The RTC serves the mall on route-1 down S. Virginia, exiting on the corner.
