We had an incredible Older Americans Month this year filled with meaningful events, celebrations, and opportunities for our senior community to connect and socialize. From arts and fitness to ice cream socials, seniors across the City of Reno came together to celebrate and the celebration does not stop in May. We are keeping the momentum going all year long with more classes and activities designed to enrich the lives of older adults.
As the weather warms up, it is the perfect time to stop by the Paradise Park Community Garden located near the activity center located at 2745 Elementary Drive. The garden is a great spot for relaxation and connecting with local gardeners.
Through the Reno Seniors EngAGED initiative, join us for a free movie day on June 18, where seniors can enjoy any movie, all day, at no cost. Then, don’t miss free bowling day at the National Bowling Stadium on June 25 from 10am to 2pm. Attend Senior Tech Classes on August 7 and 8 at the Neil Road Recreation Center to help you get more comfortable using your Android or iPhone.
